Stroke-one of the most frequent causes to death with heart disease and malignant tumor-was disease which was accompany with disorders of speech, motor, emotion, consciousness, etc.. It was due to sudden cerebrovascular circulatory disdrder. It remained serious sequela to stroke patients, so their normal social livings were impossible. Therefore, the study about prevention and therapy of strike was sincerely requested.
If TIA was recognized previously and treated adequately, stroke was prevented or its progress was obstructed.
After bibliographic study about TIA with classical and mordern medicine books was studied, the results were obtained as follows.
1. Causes of TIA based on analysis of successive precrptions were pung, heat, phlegm, haw, insufficient of the Qi(vital energy), insufficient of the blood, insuffient of the Yin.
It¢¥s causes based on modern medicine book were microembulus, cerebrovascular failure caused to decressing of blood pressure.

4. Western medical theraphy of TIA was classified two type. First, preservatory treatment were rest, regulation of blood pressure, anti-thrombotheraphy; antiaglulinant(heparin, warfarin, dicumarol), inhibitory agent of platelet agglegation(aspirine, dipyridamole, urokinase). Secondary, surgury was endarterectomy, extracerebral-intraccerebral bypass surgury, etc.
